I started my career with the Tumwater School District in 2006 as a substitute bus driver, driving mostly special needs routes, and in 2007 I also worked as a cook's assistant at Black Hills High School. I became a paraeducator in 2020 at Black Hills High School in the Life skills classroom during the pandemic and realized I enjoy being in the classroom.
In 2021, I came to the LINCS program to be a paraeducator in the Tumwater Learning Center, where I worked with students transitioning from high school to being on their own as an independent adult. In 2022, I accepted the position of paraeducator at Cascadia High school in the resource room, where I hope to finish my career with the Tumwater School District. I truly enjoy working with students in the classroom setting and helping them with the journey of being a high school student. Helping students succeed is my main goal and one I take very seriously.
