I am originally from Pennsylvania and grew up around all things related to the Pittsburgh steelers.  I have been in the Northwest for 25 years, so I do call this area home and now also love the Seattle Sounders FC.  I graduated from West Virginia University in 1993 with a degree in Journalism/Psychology.  I was in Air Force Reserve Office Training Corps (ROTC) during my college years and was active duty after I graduated from college.  I served in Turkey and here at McChord Air Force Base.  After that, I worked at the Olympia Police Department and Yelm Middle School.  I obtained my Master in Education degree and school counseling certification from Saint Martin's University.  

I am very passionate about working with students and getting to know their "stories", goals and dreams and hearing what makes them happy.  I am excited to work with Cascadia High School students, staff and families.
